Sven is extremely passionate about prevention education and advocating for a world that is free from harm. Conducting trainings and watching the growing solidarity for survivors is what drives him to do this work every day. Sven gained a passion and interest for prevention education while attending graduate school where he interned with the campus sexual violence prevention coordinator. It was during this time that he developed a masculinity program to engage men in the movement to end interpersonal violence, which is work that he is eager to continue here at UCSB.
What Sven likes to do outside his work with CARE: "I love hiking, trying out new baking recipes and playing with my two cats!"
